Easy & Safe 5 Steps for purchasing Japanese used car
from our stock!

Please check the regulation and taxation of importing a vehicle to your country before proceeding your purchase. It is recommended that you contact the local customs by yourself, or your local clearing agent (customs clearance agent or freight forwarder), or any professionals who know all the requirements and make all the necessities for your personal import.

Importing duty, customs clearing fee, local transportation and registration fee, and other tax or charges at your port must be paid on your side (by the importer). Please contact your local clearing agent to make sure any other costs.

If you do not know any local clearing agent of your port, you can check into your local telephone/business directory or keyword search on the internet as “freight forwarder” of your region.

Anyway, you do not have to worry about your directly importing from Japan even if the first time. It is not so difficult as you may think because not only your local clearing agent will clear the customs and arrange the local transportation as your request, but also our professional sales staff is always with you to support from your purchase to import.

STEP01Search & Inquiry

Go to “Our Stock Search for Japanese used vehicles” on the top page or “Search by Make/Type” on the left category to find the vehicle that you are interested in the most or you want to inquire or order to us.

Our car stock is updated in real-time and new arrivals every day. Basically, “First come, First serve”, and if more than one customer is interested in the same vehicle, the vehicle will be sold to the one who pays first, of course, we will offer another one of the similar vehicle with almost same specification or you can find another one.

While you reach to the list view, you can click vehicle name, photos, or view icon for more details. The price shown on the list is based on FOB shipping terms, and in the car details page you can calculate the price on CIF shipping terms.

If you find the vehicle in the car details page that you want to inquire or order to us, select your country and port of destination, warranty option, and other options to check the total CIF price from Japan to your country.

What is the total CIF price?

STEP02Proforma Invoice (Quotation)

Click “Request a 100% Free Proforma Invoice (Quotation)” in the car details page to verify the total CIF price from Japan to your country. Then, you will see Login or Register page to create 100% Free member’s account, and after registration you will get the proforma invoice (quotation) instantly.

If you do not find what you are looking for in the stock list, please go to Contact Us on the top category, all of which are easy and useful way to directly inquire or order to us. You can submit Inquiry Form to us, e-mail to our sales dept, call us over phone or Skype, fax to our sales dept, and as soon as receiving your inquiry we will send you a Free Proforma Invoice (Quotation) and details by e-mail or fax within 24-hours.

After your getting the proforma invoice you may prefer that of total FOB or C&F price rather than CIF price. If so, please inform us we will amend your proforma invoice, but please note that FOB means you have to arrange and pay for the shipment by yourself and that C&F means the shipment is included but marine insurance is not included.

It is beneficial and privileged to create your member’s account with 100% Free, regardless of your car purchase, for example, issuing free proforma invoice, using favorite box, receiving special campaign information, viewing account balance, etc, so please register now.

note

  1. Please check that our reply may be in your junk or spam mail box.
  2. Please inform us if you want to amend anything in the proforma invoice.
  3. Other certificate fee such as pre-ship certificate fee, certificate of origin, etc, are required depending on your country regulations.

STEP03Payment & Order

Once you receive the proforma invoice and have decided to purchase the vehicle, please send the full payment to our bank account within 5 business days. We accept 100% advance by T/T (Telegraphic Transfer) through your local bank, or you can pay with your credit card through PayPal account.

Please refer to Payment on the top category for our bank account and further information before your sending the payment.

If not confirm the payment within 5 business days, the vehicle will be released and back to the original place or stock for another customer. Also, if your payment has not received in time and the vehicle is not available, we will either offer another vehicle for the same value or refund your payment, otherwise you can find another one from our stock list.

As a special case, if you do not want to make the full payment at a time, we will offer an alternative option for installments, so please contact our sales staff at +81-568-419082 or sales@mango-auto.jp, for example;

T/T 50% : advance remittance to secure the vehicle
T/T 50% : remittance later to exchange for shipping documents of the vehicle

Once the payment has been remitted, please send us a scanned copy of T/T or bank receipt together with proforma invoice number by e-mail : sales@mango-auto.jp or fax : +81-568-419084.
You will get a confirmation of the payment by e-mail from us or you can check your account balance in My Account on the top category.

note

  1. When you send the payment to us, all bank charges including transfer and handling fee must be paid on your side (by the sender).

STEP04Shipment & Documents

As soon as your payment is confirmed we will arrange the earliest shipment of your purchased vehicle and send you the booking notice or shipping advice by e-mail or fax once the tentative departure date is confirmed.
The copy of the shipping documents including :

B/L (Bill of Lading)
Commercial (Customs) Invoice
Export Certificate
Inspection Certificate and Other Documents (depending on your country regulations)

will be sent to you by e-mail or fax first, and the original ones will be dispatched by courier (EMS/DHL/FedEx) with tracking number before the arrival of the vessel. Meanwhile, we will keep you informed about the status of your shipment until the arrival to your port, or you can track your shipment with boat tracking details on shipping company’s website.

Before booking the shipment we will confirm you Consignee, Notify Party, and Courier Address by e-mail because this information will be on the B/L which is the most important shipping document. It is recommended to consult your local clearing agent (freight forwarder) to clear the customs at your port and be used as consignee on the shipping documents.

Please inform us immediately if any corrections needed on the copy of shipping documents especially B/L and Invoice. After your confirmation we will dispatch the original shipping documents by courier.

note

  1. We are not responsible if the Consignee (Owner) of the vehicle appears on the B/L is wrong or changed to another after the B/L issued, so please take a note seriously because the wrong information on the B/L results in inability to clear the vehicle through customs.
  2. May not be amended after the issued date of the B/L or US$ 150 (JPY 15,000) as per will be charged for any amendments.
  3. US$ 10 (JPY 1,000) per day as a storage fee must be paid on your side if your vehicle staying more than 30 days at Japanese port as your request.

STEP05Clearance & Receive

Please make sure to bring all original shipping documents and contact your local clearing agent (freight forwarder) to clear the customs at your port or by yourself. Receive your dream car and register your car according to your country’s regulation, enjoy driving!

You do not have to worry anything about your vehicle’s condition which has been fully inspected, maintained, and replaced by our factory with Japanese government license. Basically, there is no claim clause for Japanese used or secondhand vehicles, but we provide our claim clause for just in case because of some customers who may worry about too much.

FOB (Free of Board)

One of terms of trade, the cost of the vehicle and customs and forwarding charges at Japan port only (except container vanning fee). It does not cover the ocean freight (shipping charge) from Japan port to your port of destination.

CIF (Cost, Insurance, & Freight)

One of terms of trade and the most common shipping terms, it covers the FOB terms as well as the ocean freight from Japan port to your port of destination with marine insurance.
The shipping charge depends on cubic meter (M3) of the vehicle, and not cover the transport from the port of destination to your company or house.

Warranty Option

Marine Insurance (Standard)

US$ 50 is charged on you, it covers vessel sinking, fire, loss of cargo. The coverage is up to the FOB amount, from Japan port to your destination port, but not accepted after unloading the vehicle at its seaport yard.

Marine Insurance (Optional) *We strongly recommend this “Optional Warranty”

US$ 150 is charged on you, it covers vessel sinking, fire, loss of cargo, and damage (except by force majeure). Also, any parts stolen or theft, but except original audio and accessories. The coverage is up to the FOB amount, from Japan port to your destination port, but not accepted after you or your clearing agent picking up the vehicle at its seaport yard.

Proforma Invoice

Quotation (Sales Contract) including car name, units, price, payment terms, etc, it is used for the payment at your local bank or getting import permission from the government office in your country.

C&F (Cost & Freight)

One of terms of trade, it covers the FOB terms as well as the ocean freight from Japan port to your port of destination without marine insurance.
The shipping charge depends on cubic meter (M3) of the vehicle, and not cover the transport from the port of destination to your company or house.

Certificate of Origin

Certificate to prove the vehicle (goods) is made in Japan, depending on your country regulation it is required to clear the customs.

B/L (Bill of Lading)

A legal document issued by a carrier (shipping company) that proves of the contract for transport by the shipping terms. The original B/L can be a receipt to obtain your importing car at your port.

Commercial (Customs) Invoice

A formal document to assess the value of your vehicle including car name, units, price, payment terms, etc, to clear the customs at your port as well.

Export Certification

Same meaning of de-registration or cancellation of registration, which proves the vehicle is a legally export from Japan including technical details and specifications of it, as well as a translated version issued in English or specified language.

Consignee

Owner (The person or company) of the imported car who is responsible and entitled to receive the imported car at the port, shown on the B/L document.

Notify Party

The person or company who is notified of the arrival of the imported car at the port of discharge. This is your local clearing agent in many case, shown on the B/L document.

Courier Address

Where the shipping documents will be sent by EMS/DHL/FedEx, we need full name, full address, full phone number, and full details.

T/T remittance (Telegraphic Transfer)

A method of the payment (remittance) arranged by wire transfer from your local bank with foreign transaction. This is the safest and simplest method and takes about 2 to 3 days to process the payment.
